Ukrainian skeleton athlete Vladyslav Heraskevych has been told by the International Olympic Committee that he cannot wear a helmet that commemorates Ukrainian athletes killed in the war with Russia.

Skeleton athete Vladyslav Heraskevych plans to fight the IOC so he can race with the memorials on his helmet at the Milan-Cortina Games.

He told Reuters that many of those pictured on his helmet were athletes including teenage weightlifter Alina Peregudova, boxer Pavlo Ishchenko and ice hockey player Oleksiy Loginov.
