Anthony Davis, Mavericks

Monday unofficially starts the NBA trade season, as it's the first day that a lot of players who signed new contracts this offseason become trade-eligible. There are some exceptions, such as P.J. Washington, who can't be traded until the offseason, but teams that need to match salary now have nearly every option at their disposal.
The NBA has been hit hard by calf injuries this season, and there are some critical absentees on the Week 9 injury report.
Basketball fans roasted Anthony Davis on social media after a photo of his latest courtside appearance surfaced.
However, according to the Jazz's latest injury report, Nurkic will be out of the mix vs. the Mavericks due to rest, so if Davis is also ruled out ahead of tip-off, that'll make for a depleted frontcourt outlook for both sides.
Davis (calf) participated in Monday's morning shootaround, Mike Curtis of The Dallas Morning News reports. Davis is currently listed as questionable on the official injury report, but it bodes well for his status that he was able to get some shots up Monday morning. Daniel Gafford (ankle), who is also listed as questionable, participated as well.
