Loved my time at Lake Eyre, whilst not a formal camping site it is technically also not the Overland Track. I needed the space from the crowd at Pelion Hut to kind of rest my knee, integrate & process the decision to leave and prepare myself to get out. It’s was all I needed and more. I’m lucky I did rest, because the journey out really tested the injury especially at the end. Two weeks on, it’s still recovering. The best thing though was the stillness & breathtaking beauty. #wilderness #lutruwi
